Construction:

Nebby Covid19 Masks are constructed with 3 layers:

Outer layer made of various fabric
Middle layer made of of 3M Filtrete Healthy Living filter
Inner layer made of cotton

Each mask also comes with a (new, unused) removable filter, for an extra layer of protection. These filters are able to capture viruses, bacteria, pollen, and more. 3M Filtrete Healthy Living filters are a similar material used in the making of 3M n95 masks. Nebby Covid19 Masks are not an identical replacement for n95 respirators. Nebby Covid19 Masks are not meant for healthcare professionals or those directly exposed to Covid19 patients. These masks are meant for general use, for delivery drivers, trips to the grocery store, etc.

The middle layer of the mask is also made with the same 3M Filtrete™ Healthy Living Air Filter. This middle layer is SEWN in, and cannot be removed.

All masks have been pre-washed and made in a clean environment. It’s still recommendedyou wash your mask again before using. (the mask only, not the removable filters)

Mask Care Guide

Remove extra filters and all other materials added in the mask before washing. (not the sewn in filter)

Hand Wash or Wash in warm/hot water on gentle cycle. Washing the mask in a pillowcase or mesh laundry bag will help extend the life of the mask.

Air dry. Drying in sunlight is recommended, as UV light helps kill viruses and bacteria.

Removable Filter Care Guide

DO NOT WASH FILTER. Do not get the filter wet. If it gets wet, dry asap.

DO NOT IRON FILTER. Ironing compromises the structure of the filter.

To disinfect: Let the filter sit in direct sunlight or a UV light for 4 or more hours. Or soak/spray the filter in isopropyl alcohol and let it dry on a clean surface.

Store clean filters in a sealed plastic bag.

The filter should last approximately 3 months when properly cared for, and with moderate use.
Each Nebby Covid19 Mask is unique and handmade. Materials can vary from mask to mask. Cotton, cotton blends, linen, silk, spandex, and fleece are among the materials used. Some lining fabric (the fabric closest to your mouth/nose) is a natural, unbleached muslin. Muslin is a type of cotton, and can have imperfections (darker spots) in it’s weave.

There is a wire in the nose area of the mask. The wire is covered in fleece for comfort.
- Cut/Tie the strap to fit your head comfortably.

- The straps should be worn below and above your ears.

- Pinch the wire in the top of the mask so that it conforms to your nose.

- If the mask seems to have gaps on the edges, you may need to adjust the straps tighter or adjust the nose wire.

- Add as many filters and layers within the mask sleeve as you’d like. Paper towels/shop towels, coffee filters, tissues, cotton rounds are some suggestions to add in the mask sleeve.
For custom masks, Nebby offers a choice of 4 sizes: Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. Medium is the standard mask pattern size, for an average sized human face. If you are buying the mask for a child or petite person, size small may fit better. Size Large will increase the mask pattern by approximately 1/4 inch on all sides. Size X-Large is ~1/2 inch bigger, and is intended only for those with very large faces or long beards.
